  • A good friend of mine likes to say: Be kind. Be strong. Be happy. And we all know about Radical Candor (which is applied kindness (not niceness)). Here is a guide to engineer kindness. Well done. Well structured. Good read.

  • One of the most famous/impressive cases of: Be careful what you ask for!

One of the most famous/impressive cases of: Be careful what you ask for! In 1973 Focus was asked to perform Hocus Pocus on NBC’s Midnight Special. The song is 6:43 mins long. But NBC told them that their slot is only 4:30 mins. Instead of butchering the song in any other way, they decided to play the full song … just faster. Much faster. And did not miss a beat. What a performance!!! And I can only imagine the satisfaction they must have felt after sticking it to NBC that way.

  • The Pillars of a Sustainable Energy Future

Over the weekend I was thinking about The Pillars of a Sustainable Energy Future. Two conclusions: First, I like Organic Flow Batteries and second, I think that the nature of blogging will change from articulating good answers to asking good questions (the art of prompting). #energy #sustainability

  • Meet Slidev: My new presentation development tool of choice

This is a real find: Was looking for the best way to have a lot of slides with a lot of source code on it (for the training @ ElixirConfEU). Normally I would use reveal with the org-mode pre-processor, but this time I needed something more simple/basic and after a little bit of googling and searching I stumbled over/on slidev and I am totally excited. Very easy to use. Maybe not as powerful as reveal, but definitely good enough for my purpose. Here is the reveal version of my presentation about The power of Why. And here is the slidev version. The source code is available on Github.
